I like to paint loosely and leave room for the viewer to supply details of the painting. The way in which
the light plays across a scene intrigues and guides the process of painting for me. I paint with both the
palette knife and brush to create my emotional response to the beauty before me. Painting scenes that
elicit comments from viewers such as, "I want to go there," is what keeps me painting. Painting is my
meditation and connects me spiritually to the beauty in the world. I take great pleasure in seeing
others enjoy the harmonious color and sense of peace in the paintings.
